I was born and raised in Saugus, CA, went to college in Corvallis, OR, spent 5 years in Tucson, AZ, and now I live in Saratoga Springs, NY with my husband and our two dogs, Benji and Sadie. I have also spent a few months living in Paris, France, which is my favorite place on earth. The city of love inspires and energizes me in ways I never knew were possible.

As a daughter of an avid scrapbooker in the 90’s, family photos have always been a huge part of my life. I remember when my mom would return from her weekend long scrapbooking retreats and I would be so excited to look through the 12x12 pages of sentimental photos, cute design, and creative layouts. My mom had a camera everywhere we went, and I followed in her footsteps.

As a kid, I used a disposable camera at church camp and my pink Sony cyber shot at school to take silly pictures of me and my friends. Documenting special memories, preserving them, and looking back at them is part of my identity… I am a very emotional and sentimental person. When I should have been cleaning my room or doing homework, I often found myself getting lost in time looking through boxes of memories filled with handwritten notes, photo albums, and tickets from various places and events. Now in 2025, most of our memories are digitized and although that is convenient and great in so many ways, I still see great value in printing out photos to frame or display in an album instead of just letting them live online.

As a photographer, I am not only passionate about creating beautiful art, but preserving the memories of creating the art itself. A family photoshoot should provide so much more than just some pretty images afterwards. The process of taking the photos, spending time together, and being in the present moment is just as important as the art we create.

Outside of photography, I am a yoga teacher at Yoga Mandali, wanna-be stay at home dog mom, and avid vegan foodie.
